This For That: New Alternatives to the Same Old Wines

  • Wine Living 19038 (map)

We're deep into the winter season now. If you're craving an escape from the same old, same old, we have something a bit different for this month's virtual tasting.

I'm excited to present some new wines to the group: lesser-known, but every bit as delicious as the more popular ones you always find on the store shelves. Like Cabernet Sauvignon? How about a 96-point Tempranillo from Spain. If you like Malbec, let's try Carmenere from Chile. And for a white wine lover, what's a good alternative to Chardonnay? A smooth and creamy 90-point Viognier from France.

Wines for this tasting will be sold through wine.com and the cost is as follows:

WINES $77 + TASTING $30*

*Shipping with wine.com is additional, however, if you join their Stewardship program, it costs just $5 a month ($59 a year). I strongly recommend everyone in the group sign up, as the program pays for itself after three orders!
